Villard's 2016 Condrieu Villa Pontciana is a rich, decadent rendering of Condrieu. The nose is loaded with scents of crushed stone, honey and apricot, while the full-bodied palate practically oozes plush, concentrated fruit. Yet the finish is clean and balanced by hints of citrus zest and white pepper. It's a thrill ride like only Viognier can deliver.
