Blackberry, currants, toasted spice, graphite and hints of licorice all soar from the glass of Herve's classic 2013 Cptes du Roussillon Villages le Clos des Fees. Made from 50% Syrah, 20% each of Carignan and Grenache and the balance Mourvèdre, it offers full-bodied richness, good concentration and the more focused, elegant, pure style of the vintage. It's a top-notch effort that will improve with short term cellaring and keep for a decade.
