Blending 36% Chardonnay with 64% Pinot Noir, including 9% of red wine, the pale rosé colored 2008 Brut Rosé Millésime Amour de Deutz (tasted from lot LA112D18816 that was disgorged on July 7th, 2016, after 85 months on the lees in bottle) is highly brilliant, fresh and delicate on the nose, with floral (sea buckthorn, dog rose) and white fruit aromas as well as a hint of chalk. On the palate, this is a lithe, fresh, highly elegant and finessed but also round, intense and very well-structured Rosé with a slightly creamy texture and nice sweetness (dosage: ten grams per liter). There are sweet cherries and red currants in the aftertaste. The effervescence is super fine and delicious. This is another great Rosé Champagne in a lighter, very elegant but complex and persistent style. Tasted November 2017.
